Highland Single malt, Double Matured in Sauternes Casks. Glenmorangie, Nector D'or
Tristan's Notes
Neat
Nose: Vanilla, hint of berries, reminiscient of brandy/port
First Palate: Strong, and powerful, slightly acidic
Second: slightly peaty, not overly smoky, maintains the acidity
Third/aftertaste: sweetness left on the tongue and roof of the mouth, lingers beautifuly, with final peat and honey overtones.
Description: bold start with a very long but smooth descent into a sweet, pleasant mouthfeel.
With a Drop of water
Nose: Vanilla and Chocolate, almost like a Black Forest Cake
First: Softened, hints of orange
Second: Peaks in intensity, smokier than neat, but with just as much peat.
Third: intensity drops, and leaves the same sweetness and aftertaste as when neat.
Description: reversal of the taste gradient.
