This month we are looking at PEAT MONSTERS. Ardbeg Supernova has 100ppm of peatiness, and the Bruichladdich Octomore 2_140 weighs in at 140ppm. These are some of the peatiest whiskies in the world, shadowed only by the newer releases of Octomore that go up 167ppm. This is bonkers considering that the Ardbeg 10 that we looked at in August has 50-65ppm peat levels. For lovers of smoke and peat!

It would seem that the Supernova won the Peat War. Personally I preferred the Octomore, but for all its parts per million it just didn't seem 'super peaty'.
